On a planet locked in eternal twilight, every woman faces a ritual that strips away her identity. When seventeen-year-old Syris's body rejects the process, she discovers the regime she served is the smallest threat she'll ever face. A YA sci-fi debut that begins as a planetary dystopia and erupts into space opera.
I write stories about people who don't fit. Characters caught between who they're supposed to be and who they actually are, trying to figure out which one matters more. Originally an engineer with a Master's in robotics, I use that same systematic thinking to build worlds, along with all the cool (pseudo) science behind them, but with all the emotional layers: relationships, choices, and the moments that make you hold your breath. My YA sci-fi series "Vesperaun" is for readers who want to lose themselves in complex characters they actually care about.
Toward the Veiled Grave is set two years before the beginning of Against the Cosmic Fade. On a planet ruled by warrior monks, ten-year-old orphan Syris sneaks into a deadly combat mission in the Dark Forest, eager to prove her readiness as a fighter. But when the sacred Veil descends mid-battle, it triggers the Degradation, a brutal ritual that erases women's minds. The mission collapses into chaos, and Syris is thrilled to get the chance she has been longing for. Sign up and get the story delivered to your inbox.
